Release: HOPE 2024 Campaign Assures Stability for ASG Employees

Fagatogo, American Samoa – In a recent statement, gubernatorial candidate Pula T. I. Nikolao Pula addressed concerns regarding the employment security of American Samoa Government (ASG) employees under the potential Pulu and Pula administration.

"Talofa, I want to address a concern that weighs heavily on many minds," Pula began, dispelling rumors and fear tactics about job losses within the ASG. "It's the false assumption that ASG employees will lose their jobs under the Pulu and Pula administration."

Pula clarified the administration's position, stating, "According to the law, the only government people who will be assigned are directors and those who are politically appointed." He reassured honest and hardworking ASG employees should not feel threatened by these fear tactics.

Pula emphasized the importance of ASG employees to the governance and administration of the islands. "Your dedication and hard work form the backbone of our Islands Administration. And I recognize the invaluable contributions you make to public service," he affirmed.

He also expressed his commitment to fostering an environment of stability and growth where the expertise of ASG employees is not just valued but cherished. "Together, we will navigate challenges, prioritize efficiency, and ensure that your roles remain essential and respected," Pula assured.

In closing, Pula thanked ASG employees for their service and encouraged them to look forward to a future of confidence and improvement. "Thank you for your service, and let us move forward with confidence in a brighter future for all."
