**American Samoa – Sept 19, 2024 – The HOPE 2024 campaign, led by gubernatorial candidates Pula T. I. With Tula School recently shutting down and Manua School grappling with insufficient numbers of teachers, it is evident that the current administration's handling of our education system has left significant gaps.
Under a Pula and Pulu administration, we are committed to reversing this trend by prioritizing our "P = Provide Exceptional Education" platform. Our vision for education in American Samoa is centered around creating schools that are vibrant centers of excellence. We recognize that the closure of schools is not just a failure of infrastructure but a reflection of deeper issues in teacher recruitment, training, and retention. A key aspect of our plan is to ensure that no school in American Samoa faces closure due to a lack of teachers.
