Đặt uy tín, chất lượng lên hàng đầu nên tết năm 2021, mặc dù còn ảnh hưởng bởi dịch Covid-19 nhưng hơn 1.000 gốc mai của gia đình chị Linh vẫn được tiêu thụ hết, mang lại nguồn thu hơn 1 tỷ đồng sau khi trừ chi phí. Tết năm nay, chị dự kiến đưa ra thị trường khoảng 1.200 chậu.

Để đáp ứng nhu cầu chưng tết, phù hợp túi tiền của nhiều gia đình, các gốc mai trong vườn nhà chị giá dao động từ 1,5 triệu đến vài chục triệu đồng/cây. Hằng năm, nhiều thương lái đến vườn thăm và đặt hàng, trong đó có cả thương lái từ Campuchia sang.

Chị Linh cho hay: “Hai năm qua, dù ảnh hưởng dịch Covid-19 nhưng mai vàng bán vẫn rất chạy. Quan điểm kinh doanh của tôi là chất lượng, uy tín, hướng đến mọi đối tượng đều có thể mua mai chưng tết, cho sắc xuân thêm thắm, tết cổ truyền ý nghĩa hơn nên vườn mai có nhiều loại với giá bán phù hợp. Hằng năm, cứ cách tết Nguyên đán khoảng 1,5-2 tháng, rất nhiều thương lái đến vườn thăm và đặt hàng”.

Hiện nay, ngoài giống mai giảo Thủ Đức được mua về chăm sóc từ nhỏ, chị Linh đầu tư thêm khoảng 1.000 gốc mai ghép với chi phí hàng tỷ đồng. Số mai ghép này đang trong quá trình chăm sóc ban đầu, tết sang năm có thể bán ra thị trường với giá hơn 10 triệu đồng/cây. Bên cạnh đó, chị cũng nhận chăm sóc mai của những gia đình sau khi chưng tết xong; tùy theo giá trị của từng gốc mà giá nhận chăm sóc cũng khác nhau, từ vài trăm ngàn đến vài triệu đồng/năm.
